The Bamboo Papers: Red & Blue Studies

    These studies represent a pivotal moment of transition in my studio practice. Originally intended as a roadmap for a larger canvas, these works on Hahnemühle bamboo paper eventually led me toward a new creative direction.

   Though the final canvas was set aside, these pieces stand as a complete meditation on the architecture of a rose. I used the tension between deep red and blue pigments to explore opacity and translucency, layering acrylics to find the threshold where shadow becomes light. They are artifacts of a search—the quiet records of a path explored and a destination changed.

 

これらの習作は、私の制作活動における重要な転換点を象徴しています。当初は大型のキャンバス作品へ向かうためのロードマップとして描かれたものでしたが、このハーネミューレ・バンブー紙（竹和紙）上での探求を経て、私は新たな表現の方向性へと導かれました。

 

最終的にキャンバスへの移行は見送りましたが、これらの小品は「薔薇の構造」に対する一つの完結した瞑想として存在しています。深みのある赤と青の顔料の緊張感を用い、アクリルを幾重にも重ねることで、不透明さと透明度の境界を探り、影が光へと変わるその閾（しきい）を追い求めました。

 

これらは探究の跡。一つの道を見極め、新たな目的地へと舵を切った瞬間の、静かな思索の記録（アーティファクト）なのです。
